[the feeling isn't mutual.]
i threw the bread crumbs
on the floor as i skipped along.
you picked up the clues,
yet forced yourself to believe that
it wasn't true...
[as if this cute face would never
lie.]
and as i approached a huge,
candy-coated house
that happened to fall in the
middle of my path,
i realized that within an exterior
so beautiful, so inviting,
lurked a darkness not worth
discussing...
[i never had the time
to ask you why. it doesn't matter now.]
the path that I had so
innocently left behind was
gone...
i was lost.
[i am lost.]

hmmm, i thought up this poem idea when feeling very mixed up and confuzzling emotions i've been working on it for two weeks now, trying to get my words on paper, as if i could express the turmoil within me XD now don't go trying to figure out who it is about, 'cause it's someone you don't know ;] in fact, it's a mix between a real person (where i got the base idea from) and creativity (where i get my life from). critique, please, but go easy on me btw can someone tell me how the hell you make italics on only one word or phrase on dA? i can't figure it out!

I really, really like this
The allusion to a classic fairy tale really made it stand out for me when I was browsing through your gallery, and I love the way you tied it in with the poem
I'm glad *xoCaliGirl924ox sent me your way! ;]
