Literature Text

[the feeling isn't mutual.]

i threw the bread crumbs
on the floor as i skipped along.
you picked up the clues,
yet forced yourself to believe that
it wasn't true...

[as if this cute face would never
lie.]

and as i approached a huge,
candy-coated house
that happened to fall in the
middle of my path,
i realized that within an exterior
so beautiful, so inviting,
lurked a darkness not worth
discussing...

[i never had the time
to ask you why.  it doesn't matter now.]

the path that I had so
innocently left behind was
gone...
i was lost.

[i am lost.]
hmmm, i thought up this poem idea when feeling very mixed up and confuzzling emotions :X i've been working on it for two weeks now, trying to get my words on paper, as if i could express the turmoil within me XD now don't go trying to figure out who it is about, 'cause it's someone you don't know ;] in fact, it's a mix between a real person (where i got the base idea from) and creativity (where i get my life from). critique, please, but go easy on me :D btw can someone tell me how the hell you make italics on only one word or phrase on dA? i can't figure it out!

I really, really like this
The allusion to a classic fairy tale really made it stand out for me when I was browsing through your gallery, and I love the way you tied it in with the poem
I'm glad *xoCaliGirl924ox sent me your way! ;]
